in-line sorting system
5.7 Sorting accepted coins (option)
To direct accepted coins either to the cash-box or an external sorting device, e.g. change tubes
or hoppers, the coin validator can be equipped with a 5-fold in-line sorter or a 4-fold sorter
atthecoinoutlet.Thechutesarecontrolledviaaapsortingsystemusingthreesolenoids.
In this section you learn all about the principle of
• Longitudinal sorting
– without optional manifold
– with optional manifold
• 4-fold sorting
– without manifold
– with 4-fold or 8-fold manifold
• Controlling a cash-box/override sorting chute (option)
5.7.1 Sorting principle of 5-fold in-line sorter (Ex8xPx. ..) (not with BACTA
interface)

Use the single inhibit signal lines of the
BDTA interface for external sorting control:
If the same coin is congured in two
different coin channels with identical
acceptance bands (in the factory or by
heartbeat), you can assign different
sorting chutes to the two coin channels.
If, in addition, different single inhibit signal
lines are assigned to the two channels, the
machine can sort the coin via the single
inhibit signal lines into either of the two
sorting chutes or into both.
