(3) Detaching and refitting the press roller
Follow the procedure below to replace the press roller.
Procedure
1. Remove the fuser unit (see page 1-5-30).
2. Remove the upper fuser cover
(see page 1-5-31).
3. Remove the front and rear press springs.

4. Remove the press roller from the fuser unit.
5. Replace the press roller and install the roller
to fuser unit.
6. Refit the upper fuser cover.
7. Refit the fuser unit.
