Chapter 4 Inspection
VISERA XENON LIGHT SOURCE CLV-S40
Make sure that the indicator of the lamp life meter is blinking constantly.
If it is not, contact Olympus.
For details on opening and closing the lamp access cover
and replacing the lamp, see Chapter 6, “Lamp Replacement”.
Do not attempt to replace the lamp without reading Chapter
6; otherwise, operator may receive an electric shock or be
injured.
After you have replaced the lamp, make sure that you have
not left any foreign objects inside the lamp access cover.
This could cause a fire or malfunction.
If the power indicator is illuminated but the no light is emitted
from the endoscope’s distal end, the following causes may
be suspected. Take the corrective action described in the
table below.
Cause Solution
The lamp is not turned ON. Turn the light source ON again.
The brightness adjustment is set to the
minimum level.
Adjust the brightness as required.
The standby mode has been selected.
Turn the standby mode OFF by pressing
the standby switch.
