4.8 Emergency lamp
1. Set the emergency lamp switch lever to the EMERGENCY LAMP position
and confirm that the emergency lamp lights when the power switch is set to
ON. Also make sure that the emergency lamp indicator lights up.
If the emergency lamp does not come on, even if the
emergency lamp switch lever is set to emergency lamp, and
the emergency lamp indicator blinks, the emergency lamp is
malfunctioning. In this case, immediately stop using the
instrument and contact Olympus.
2. Move the emergency lamp switch lever from the main lamp to the
emergency lamp position while the main lamp is illuminated; the main lamp
will go out and the emergency lamp will light. Also confirm that the
emergency lamp indicator lights up (see Figure 4.14).
If the emergency lamp switch lever is left in an intermediate
position between emergency lamp and main lamp, the
emergency lamp indicator will blink and a warning buzzer will
sound after a short time. Make sure to set the switch lever to
either the emergency lamp or main lamp position.
