VISERA XENON LIGHT SOURCE CLV-S40
4.5 Inspection of the standby mode
The standby mode is intended to temporarily stop/suspend light output from the
light source. Use this mode when replacing the scope or temporarily suspending
its use.
1. Press the AUTO/MANUAL brightness selector to engage the manual
brightness control. The MANUAL indicator is illuminated (see Figure 4.7).
2. Connect the light guide cable of the endoscope to the output connector on
the light source.
3. Press the standby switch to activate the standby mode (see Figure 4.7).
4. Confirm that the standby mode indicator comes on and that the light emitted
from the endoscope’s distal end decreases.
5. Press the standby switch to cancel the standby mode (see Figure 4.7).
6. Confirm that the standby mode indicator goes out and the brightness of light
output from the distal end of scope increases gradually.
