Inter Character Delay (RS-232C)
5.1.5
The inter character delay introduces a configurable delay after each transmitted character. This may
be used if the host does not support flow control and is not capable of handling the received data.
The following menu codes / commands are provided for the inter character delay setting.

Following are the several countermeasures for the trouble caused by RS-232C

Confirm communication settings (5.1.2 transfer speed, 5.1.3 character
format etc.)
After changing communication setting, send Z2 command. Most of
communication settings are not reflected until Z2 command is sent.
Confirm 5.1.4 handshake setting.
Garbled characters
Confirm communication settings (5.1.2 transfer speed, 5.1.3 character
format etc.)
Set the 5.1.5 inter-character delay according to the host PC’s processing
speed.
Confirm that code to be read matches to the character code of the
communication tool.
Line-break is
doubled
Check the line-break setting of the communication tool.
