1 Introduction
This manual is only to be used with Otto Bock products that have been dened in the Instructions for Use
Manual as being suitable for transportation of a less able bodied person in a motor vehicle, and should be used
in conjunction with the Instruction Manual issued by the Manufacturers of wheelchair restraints equipment.
The Otto Bock products shown in the table in section 5. conform to the requirements of ISO 7176-19, ANSI/
RESNA WC/ Vol.1 – part 19 and/or DIN 75078 part 2 standards, provided that they are equipped with the
securement brackets/ lock tongues for receiving the vehicle-anchored restraint systems which have been used
during testing and which were specially developed for this eld of application.
Otto Bock wheelchairs/ mobility bases with seating systems or buggies can only be used for transportation in
a motor vehicle when tted with special anchor brackets designed by Otto Bock, which are in compliance with
National and International Standards to improve the passenger’s safety during transport.
