7.2.3 Using Manual feeding
When using manual feeding, the documents are scanned without separation. Place the documents on the
feed tray one by one.
• Manual feeding is recommended to scan important documents or bound documents.
• Automatic feeding is recommended for normal use.
• For details about operation panel, refer to "
5 Operation Panel" (page 20).
Using manual feeding
1. Press the Manual feed button (
) for 1 second or more.
• Manual feed LED (Green) turns ON.
• The feed tray will move up.

• Double feed detection is not available when using manual feeding.
• Minimum length of documents is 1
10 mm (4.33 in.) when using manual feeding. (KV-S8127 only)
• When manual feeding is set, you cannot change the position of the feed tray because the feed tray is
fixed at the uppermost stage. Exit tray capacity is 100 sheets

When manual feeding is OFF (automatic feeding), exit tray capacity is 750 sheets (80 g/m² [21 lb.] / High-quality woodfree
paper).
Switching back to automatic feeding
1. Press the Manual feed button (
) for 1 second or more.
• Manual feed LED (Green) turns OFF
