2. Getting Started/Basic Operations
Press [iA].
Intelligent Auto Mode is set and the recording mode icon
changes to [ ] or [ ].
When you press [iA] again, the recording mode is switched to
one that enables settings to be made using the aperture ring
and shutter speed dial.
To switch to Intelligent Auto Mode
Intelligent Auto Mode (P57) The camera chooses the optimal settings to
match the subject and the recording
conditions. We recommend this mode when
you want to leave the settings to the camera
and take pictures with ease.
Intelligent Auto Plus Mode (P58)
Programme AE Mode (P62)
The camera automatically sets the shutter
speed and the aperture value according to the
brightness of the subject.
Aperture-Priority AE Mode (P65)
The camera automatically sets the shutter
speed according to the brightness of the
subject when you set the aperture value.
Shutter-Priority AE Mode (P66)
The camera automatically sets the aperture
value according to the brightness of the
subject when you set the shutter speed.
Manual Exposure Mode (P67)
Determine the exposure by manually setting
the aperture value and the shutter speed.
