6.3.2. CHECKING THE OPERATION OF THE ACTIV'SECURITY AND THE CONDUCTIVITY OF THE GLOVES
Each time the tool is switched on, the safety device is waiting to be initialised.
Warning
For the proper functioning of the safety system, it is imperative to use conductive gloves PEL-
LENC or no gloves.
Warning
Contact an authorised distributor PELLENC in the event of a problem.
At the beginning of each day or change of user, it is necessary to ensure that the Activ' Security is working
properly. Three operating verification methods are possible:
Method 1 (tool alone):
1. Switch the tool on.
See the operating instructions for the battery.
2. Take the tool in your hand, making sure that your fin-
gers are in contact with one of the conductive pads
(1).
The "Activ' Security" LED (3) is solid red.
3. Check the conductivity of each finger of the opposite
hand by pressing them one by one against the trig-
ger (2).
The "Activ' Security" LED (3) must be blue (fixed or
flashing) each time a finger is fitted on the trigger.
4. Check the correct operation of the blade according
to the position of the trigger (2).
Method 2 (tool alone):
1. Switch the tool on.
See the operating instructions for the battery.
2. Take the tool in your hand, making sure that your fin-
gers are in contact with one of the conductive pads
(1).
3. Place the index finger of the hand holding the tool
on the trigger (2).
4. Apply pressure to the lower edge of the hook (3) with
the opposite hand.
The "Activ' Security" LED (4) is solid red.
5. Remove the opposite hand from the hook (3).
The "Activ' Security" LED (4) must be blue.
6. Check the correct operation of the blade according
to the position of the trigger (3).
