6.3.6. ADJUSTING THE TIGHTNESS OF THE BLADE
To obtain the correct adjustment:
1. Perform these operations with the blade open, tool
disconnected from the battery.
2. Tighten the nut (1) with the supplied spanner (2).
3. As soon as the nut (1) starts to bind, stop.
4. Go back slightly to allow the check washer (3) to fit
properly into the grooves.
5. Close the blade.
6. Check that the check washer (3) is locked.
Important
When the blade is in the closed position, the check washer (3) must be locked.
Note
Excessive tightening can lead to high power consumption and thus to overheating of the tool and a significant
reduction in battery life.
6.4. CHANGING THE BLADE OR PINS
6.4.1. REMOVE / FIT THE BLADE AND PINS OF THE TOOL ALONE

1. Open the blade fully.
See 5.4. Blade openings, page 23.
2. Turn the battery off.
See the operating instructions for the battery.
3. Disconnect the tool from the battery.
See 4.8. Disconnecting the tool from the ULIB 150P and 250 batteries, page 18.
4. Open the guard (1). 5. Loosen the nut (2) with the key provided (3).
