4.5.3. Tools and material required for installation
NOTE
Not all listed tools may be necessary for installation. Read installation procedures before
starting to determine if additional tools are necessary.
NOTE
Valves, grounding straps, wire, clamps and wall pipes are not supplied with the water
softener.
TIP
Use ball or globe valves.
Tools:
• pipe wrenches;
• screw drivers;
• safety glasses;
• safety shoes;
•measuring tape;
• level;
•file;
• utility knife or tube cutter.
Materials:
•softener;
•pipes;
•Teflon
®
tape;
• grounding straps (optional);
•overflow pipe ½";
• valve drain pipe ½".
Material included:
• by-pass ¾" BSPT male (provided only for softener with bypass configuration - not provided with
the manifold configuration).
