connectionthatistreatedasdownwillbeconsideredasupagainuponreceivingthree
consecutivesuccessfulping/DNSlookupresponses.
IfaWANconnectiongoesdown,alloftheWANconnectionsnotsetwithaConnectionTypeofAlwaysonwill
alsobebroughtupuntilanyoneofhigherpriorityWANconnectionsisupandfoundtobehealthy.Thisdesigncould
increaseoverallnetworkavailability.
Forexample,ifWAN1,WAN2,andWAN3haveconnectiontypesofAlwayson,BackupPriorityGroup1,and
BackupPriorityGroup2,respectively,whenWAN1goesdown,WAN2andWAN3willtrytoconnect.IfWAN3is
connectedfirst,WAN2willstillbekeptconnecting.IfWAN2isconnected,WAN3willdisconnectorstopconnecting.
AutomaticPublicDNSServerCheckonDNSTestFailure
WhenthehealthcheckmethodissettoDNSLookupandchecksfail,theBalancewillautomaticallyperformDNS
lookupsonsomepublicDNSservers.Ifthetestsaresuccessful,theWANmaynotbedown,butratherthetarget
