Tips for video calls
Check the video image to make sure it's clear, bright, and sharp.
Avoid bright lights or windows in the background. If the camera faces a window or bright lights, adjust
the camera settings accordingly.
Pastels and muted colors look best on the screen. Avoid wearing bright colors, all-light or all-dark
clothing, or busy patterns, such as small checks or narrow stripes.
Use natural gestures and speak in a natural tone without shouting.
Pause between sentences to allow for possible audio delay.
Mute the microphone when not speaking.
Avoid tapping or rustling papers near the microphone.
Video Call Settings
Video settings can be updated to change the way video calls display your Polycom Trio system. Note that if
settings are updated during a call, the new settings apply to the next call and not the current call.
Note: Some of the features described in this section require access to the Basic settings menu. Contact
your system administrator for assistance if Basic Settings require a password.
Manage Call Rate for Video
Trio supports call rates between 128 kbps and 768 kbps for video calls. The default setting is 512
kbps. Changes to the maximum call rate to use for a video call and the selected call rate will be
applied to the next video call. If the system administrator implemented a Maximum Call Rate for Video
Calls for the system, users cannot select a call rate above this limit.
1. Navigate to Settings > Basic > Call Rate.
2. Select the Maximum Call Rate to use for video calls.
