5.4 Resolution
Activate
2 for last digit resolution adjustment. The following options are
available:
0 = zero locked.
1 = full resolution
2 = even numbers only
5 = 0 and 5 only
Default is 1.
Change display resolution by activating
1. Store value by activating 3
and
1 simultaneously.
5.5 Cable - Only available when “External calibration” is enabled from
PReset
1. Short-circuit the RTD.
2. Activate
2: Old cable resistance is displayed.
3. Activate
3 and 1 simultaneously
- Current cable resistance is measured.
4. Activate
2 to check current cable resistance.
5. Return to main menu by activating
2 and 1.
6. Remove RTD short circuit.
PReview 5511 now automatically compensates for the measured cable
resistance. To prevent unintentional adjustment this function may be
disabled from PReset following this procedure:
1. Use “Receive data” function to load the setup parameters
into PReset.
2 Disable “External Calibration”.
3. Use “Transmit data” function to reload the setup parameters
into PReview 5511.
6.0 INPUT
Sub menu 6.1 and 6.2 facilitates readout of lowest and highest process
value registered since last display reset.
6.1 Process Low
Activate
2 for readout of minimum registered process value. Reset display
to current process value by activating
3 and 1 simultaneously.
6.2 Process High
Activate
2 for readout of maximum registered process value. Reset display
to current process value by activating
3 and 1 simultaneously.
Sub menu 6.3, 6.4, and 6.5 facilitates process calibration for linear
resistance, voltage and load cell, and current input applications. 0% and
100% process calibration must be performed sequentially.
6.3 0% Process Calibration
Activate
2 and apply low level input value. Activate 3 and 1 simultaneously
for 0% calibration.
6.4 100% Process Calibration
Activate
2 and apply high level input value. Activate 3 and 1
simultaneously for 100% calibration. PReview is now scaled according to
the actual process values.
6.5 Zero point Process Calibration
Activate
2 and apply zero point value. Activate 3 and 1 simultaneously.
To prevent unintentional process calibration the function may be disabled
from PReset following this procedure:
1. Use “Receive data” function to load the setup parameters into
PReset.
2. a: In the Input dialog the dot is moved to No for “Process
calibration”.
b: If Yes for “Process calibration” a new dialog - Process
calibration - will appear.
Move the dot to “Protect process calibration”.
3. Use “Transmit data” function to reload the setup parameters into the
PReview 5511. Then the Process calibration feature is disabled.
