Appendix - 5511WEIG
The weight indicator 5511WEIG is built from a standard PReview Universal
Indicator type 5511A2A as regards hardware. 5511WEIG is suitable when the
input signal is load cell, mV, V and mA. The response time is considerably faster
and easy access to »0« point calibration is possible. The programming menus
have been changed to match the new functions.
UPDATING TIME / RESPONSE TIME:
The updating time of the output has been changed to 50 ms. The updating time
is chosen in the configuration program PReset 5000, but as this program has
not been changed, a chosen response time in PReset 5000 of 250 - 500 ms will
result in an updating time of 50 ms. If a response time of > 500 ms is chosen
in PReset, the updating time will be 250 ms and the response time as stated
in PReset. With an updating time of 50 ms, a response time of (0 - 90%) < 165
ms is guarantied both for the relays and for the analogue output.
SPECIFICALLY FOR LOAD CELL APPLICATIONS:
Corrections for excitation voltage changes are made at volt age connection and
when a front key is activated.
PROGRAMMING MENUS:
The programming menus have been changed to match the new functions.
The Routing Diagram for 5511WEIG shows the changed menu placements.
Programming options and valid settings are described in the section »Operating
the function keys«, pages 62 to 67. Below please find a description of function
alterations compared to the standard 5511.
0.0 Default - The display indicates current process value
3 0% taring or »0« point setting
By activation of 3 for a period of 2 sec, the input signal is reset to zero.
The signal span is not changed but the zero point is moved to the process
value of the input at the time of activation of the 3 key.
1.0 Relay1 - described in menu 1.0, page 62
2.0 Relay2 - described in menu 2.0, page 62
3.0 0 and 100% process calibration
Note: When the input type is a bridge input, 0% and 100% process
calibration must be carried out before 5511WEIG can function correctly.
We recommend that you choose bridge input with an input span of 0...19
mV in the configuration program PReset. When the configuration has been
sent to the display, execute first 0% and then 100% process calibration
via the front keys.
3.1 In LO - 0% Process calibration
Press 2. Set the desired 0% value, press 3 and 1 simultaneously.
Execute menu 3.2.
3.2 In Hi - 100% Process calibration
Press 2. Set the desired 100% value, press 3 and 1 simultaneously.
3.3 P LO - Readout / reset of minimum process value
Press
2. Lowest registered process value is displayed. By pressing 3 and
1 simultaneously, the display is reset to the current process value.
3.4 P HI - Readout / reset of maximum process value
Press
2. Highestregistered process value is displayed. By pressing 3 and
1 simultaneously, the display is reset to the current process value.
4.0 Display - described in menu 3.0, page 63
5.0 Output - described in menu 4.0, page 63
6.0 Special functions - described in menu 5.0, page 63
