4. The formatting options appear in a new menu. You can type in a different name for the Volume or
leave the default Promise Pegasus. Most users should use the Partition Type set to the default
GPTFormat. The other Partition Type option, MBRFormat (master boot record) does not support
Logical Drives greater than 2 TB. The Format Type is set to NTFS, the standard Windows le
system. Click Format to start formatting the array.
5. In order to safeguard against unintended changes to the RAID setup or le system, the
Pegasus32 requires that you conrm your decision to begin formatting the drives. To continue
formatting, type conrm in the space provided and click on the Conrm button.
