4.8 Telephone Dialer
The Protégé® SE Integrated System Controller provides the ability to communicate alarms and
upload/download informaon with remote systems using the onboard 2400bps modem. The
telephone line can be connected directly to the Protégé® SE Integrated System Controller using the
onboard telephone connecon terminals.

It is recommended that the earth connecon for the telephone and main power
supply (refer to the secon Earth Ground Connecon on page 5) earth be run
separately and should be terminated on the cold water pipe or similar grounding
point within the installaon.
