9.2 Sensor ﬁrmware update

Firmware updates for the RS5 BT sensor is carried out directly via OPTALIGN smart

computer. If an RS5 BT sensor working with an older ﬁrmware version is connected

to the OPTALIGN smart computer, a hint indicating that the sensor ﬁrmware requires

updating appears on the display.

To update the sensor, use

f/g to select ‘Yes’ then press e. The sensor

ﬁrmware update wizard appears.

Before commencing with the sensor ﬁrmware update, ensure that the sensor is

fully charged. If sure that sensor is fully charged, use i/h and highlight ‘Next’

then press e to proceed with update using the sensor ﬁrmware update wizard

(Refer to section 9.2.2 “Proceeding with the sensor ﬁrmware update”.) The up-

date process takes about 5 minutes.
