How to troubleshoot inaccurate AccuFlow measurements on my Raven AccuFlow Vortex control console?
    • C
      Christine StokesNov 24, 2025
First, verify that the target application speed is below the maximum speed allowed for the implement width and the target rate using the System Capacity Chart. If exceeded, reduce the application speed. Then, verify that the AccuFlow system is plumbed correctly using the stem diagrams. Ensure that the difference between the static and operating pressures does not exceed 5 PSI. If it does, clean the strainer next to the Vortex cooler, check hoses for deterioration, and replace if necessary. Remove excess hose length between the nurse tank and break-away coupler and between the break-away coupler and the AccuFlow system. Verify that the break-away coupler is 1-1/2”, not 1”. Finally, verify flow through the Vortex cooler chamber by removing the vapor hoses from the steel vapor tubes at applic...

What to do if my Raven AccuFlow Vortex Farm Equipment console displays flashing “CAL” when the vehicle engine is started?
    • C
      Carrie NelsonAug 23, 2025
Check the battery voltage. The console power may be toggled by the vehicle’s ignition switch or connected to a “dirty” power source. Make sure that the power leads from the console cable are connected directly to the battery, and not to chassis ground or another power source.

How to resolve inaccurate speed display with Raven Farm Equipment wheel drive speed sensors?
    • C
      Clayton WalkerAug 28, 2025
First, check if the issue occurs on hard surface roads. If the speed display is accurate on hard surfaces, investigate mounting the speed sensor on a different wheel. If still inaccurate, verify that all magnets are detected by the speed sensor by removing one set of magnets (one red and one black) from the wheel, repositioning remaining magnets directly across from each other, and adjusting the speed cal by entering a value twice as large as the correct speed cal value. Recheck the speed display on a hard surface road. If the speed display is inaccurate with only one set of magnets, replace the bad set. If the speed display is inaccurate with all sets of magnets, replace the speed sensor assembly. Re-enter the original speed cal after testing is complete.

What does it mean if the master valve failed open or closed on my Raven Farm Equipment?
    • M
      Mary ReedSep 17, 2025
This is triggered when the control node does not sense the expected change in the master control valve's amperage draw upon reaching the expected end of travel.

How to troubleshoot Raven Farm Equipment when pressure and temperature gauge readings indicate NH is not in a liquid state?
    • B
      Becky KeySep 8, 2025
Check that the vapor tubes have been affixed to the applicator knives correctly and that the openings for NH are not plugged or filled with debris. If additives such as N-Serve or ACA have been or are being used with the AccuFlow system, disassemble and clean Vortex cooler chamber. Determine if the operating pressure drop is within tolerances.

Why does the Raven AccuFlow Vortex rate not change in manual or automatic control modes?
    • S
      Shannon BrownSep 5, 2025
Check the control valve cabling for wear and breaks. Check and clean cable connections as necessary. Check the voltage at the control valve connector by powering on the console, setting the master switch to the ‘on’ position, and setting all products or the console to manual control mode. Hold the increase/decrease switch and check for movement & voltage at the control valve. Verify that the valve is turning by watching the coupler shaft. If the valve does not open or close, replace the control valve motor.
