CHAPTER 5
88 SmarTrax™ MD Calibration & Operation Manual
FIGURE 27. Steering Calibration Resume Screen
If the wheels strike the stops at the end of travel or if a high degree of effort is required to turn the wheels during
calibration, steering may be disengaged. If steering becomes disengaged during calibration:
•Press Stop to cancel the calibration. Adjust the amount of effort required to disengage the steering system by
pressing the up or down arrow button.
•Press Back to return to the calibration process. Retry is most commonly used when the system is intentionally
disengaged to avoid obstacles.

NOTICE
The calibration of the machine’s steering system
should be performed in a field or other large,
open space and during conditions similar to
normal vehicle operation.
If the ground or surface is slippery, muddy, or
freshly tilled, the SmarTrax MD system may learn
incorrect steering responses for normal
operating conditions.
Ensure the machine’s hydraulics are operating
properly and there are no other mechanical
issues that may affect the performance of the
SmarTrax MD system.
