  If the signal strength vs position plot is running but there are no units displayed on the time axis, it is because '0 on Z trigger mode' is selected and a reference mark has not been passed. The X axis units are not displayed until a reference mark is passed when the position will be set to zero. To fix this, move the readhead past a reference mark or change the trigger to ‘None’.

  If you are unable to switch AGC on with the Renishaw Diagnostic Equipment, it is because the readhead is in installation mode or calibration mode, where AGC is disabled. Check that the readhead is in normal running mode.

  Multiple reference marks are displayed on the signal strength vs position screen because the readhead has all reference mark outputs enabled, so a reference mark is output at every reference mark on the scale. To resolve this, order a readhead with customer selectable reference marks.

  If the limit indication is not displayed on the software of the Renishaw Diagnostic Equipment, it is because the readhead does not have limit outputs, the readhead is powered up over a limit, or the software is opened when the readhead is over a limit. Check if the readhead type has limit outputs, move the readhead away from the limit and back to activate, or ensure the readhead is not over a limit when the software is opened or the system powered up.
