7.6 Reprocessing of the re-usable rotary blades, abraders and morcellators
7.6.1 Manual reprocessing
Wet preparation at the point of use:
Z Immediately after use, immerse all parts seperately in a combined dis
infecting and cleaning solution.
' This prevents microorganisms from being transmitted and contamin
ant residues from drying on the instrument.
Manual cleaning/disinfection:
Z Thoroughly rinse the blades / abraders with cold water under the tap.
Z Immerse the blades / abraders in a combined cleaning and disinfecting
solution. Clean hollow spaces (e.g. channels) with suitable brushes
while the parts are immersed.
Z Thoroughly rinse with demineralized water, then dry inside and out with
acloth,swaborcompressedair.
7.6.2 Machine reprocessing
Machine cleaning/disinfection:
Z Use plastic parts to connect the outer and inner rotary blades / ab
raders seperately (in disassembled condition) to the corresponding
connectors of the washer-disinfector rack. If the rack offers no connec
tions, clean the hollow spaces manually.

NOTE!
For the reprocessing of the blades select the special endoscope repro
cessing program.
7.6.3 Checks
Z After each cleaning cycle check the blades/abraders for damage.
7.6.4 Sterilization
Steam sterilization:
Z Steam-sterilize the blades/abraders at 134 C(272 F) using a
fractional pre-vacuum method.

fied for endoscopes and endoscopic accessories only with regard to their
material compatibility.
