Using DHCP
This printer can be used in a DHCP environment. In a WINS server environment, the printer name can
simultaneously be registered with a WINS server.
• Supported DHCP server operating systems are: Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server,
Windows NT 4.0 Server Service Pack 4 or higher, and UNIX standard.

The IP address acquired from DHCP can be checked on the configuration page. For details about
printing a configuration page, see “Checking the Printer Status and Settings using the Printer's Control
Panel (List/Test Print Menu)”.
• When there are multiple DHCP servers, make the same reservation for all. This printer uses information
from the DHCP server that responds first.
