4.8 Cable drum onto RW45\240/400L motor gearbox

Install the drum and cable (one or two) onto the RW45L or RW240/400L drive-unit. Refer to the
illustraon that follows.
In this manual shown illustraons can be dierent than the components and/or systems. For more
informaon on item numbers and models refer to the Ridder catalog or website at ridder.com.
Note: Ridder does not supply steel cables and steel cable clamps.
5. CONNECT INSTRUCTIONS
Only to approved personnel it is permied to do the connect instrucons.
The RW motor gearboxes are applicable for use in an industrial environment where electromagnec
interference can have an eect. Usually correct installaon makes sure that funconal operaon is
safely possible without problems. Make sure that the connecons obey EMC-conformity.
• When you put the cables, make sure that water flows away from the motor gearbox (make loops
if necessary). Refer to §5.2 “Cable glands”.
• Make sure that during connecon work all phases of all power connecons (power supply) are
de-energized.
