Figure 4-12: Correct frame rim selection
Position the selection arrows either directly on the edge of the front surface of the lens (for Nylor
and rimless frames) or at the transition between the front surface of the lens and the front edge of the
frame (full rim frames such as metal and plastic). This is the only way to obtain a uniform reference point
for the entire evaluation and determine an accurate result.
Use the selected frame as a guide for selecting the edge of the lens. Then you can recognize even more
reliably which contour in the image represents the edge of the front surface of the pane. You should pay
particular attention to correct selection of the decisive point for very thick rimmed frames, e.g. plastic
frames or glasses with solid metal rims (see Section 4.6 Tips for special frame types)
To switch to one of the others after positioning the first selection arrow, click the next selection arrow.
Alternatively, you can use the [Tab] key to navigate between the selection arrows.
Carry out the steps specified in this section for the "2nd frame edge" evaluation step in the same way.
The selection arrows in the "2nd frame border" evaluation step cannot be moved vertically and
horizontally, in contrast to the "1st frame border" evaluation step but can be moved diagonally.
