1 Introduction
1.1 Overview
With the ImpressionIST® 4+, all individual parameters are measured in habitual head and body posture without
an additional clip.
With the help of the patented stereo camera system, all parameters can be conveniently determined by triggering
just one exposure, in two simultaneously captured images. Thanks to the three-dimensional measurement
technology, it thus delivers precise measurement results in the shortest possible time.
The ImpressionIST® 4+ is the latest video centering device in the ImpressionIST® family.
The further development is based on the previous model and has been enhanced with individual hardware and
software features. Highlights include integrated distance marking for optimal positioning of the customer in front
of the ImpressionIST® 4+, significantly improved image quality, and optimized evaluation through software
assistance systems.
The ImpressionIST® 4+ is available in two different sizes (floor-standing and wall-mounted). Thus, the device
also finds sufficient space in stores with limited floor space.
The control unit (PC) is invisibly mounted on the back of the device. All data are combined in one system in the
new ImpressionIST® 4+. The determined data can thus be retrieved from different consulting stations (multi-
station capability) so that several customers can be served simultaneously.
In addition to the PC, the ImpressionIST® 4+ can also be controlled using an iPad. The results are available on
all output media thanks to automatic synchronization.
The ImpressionIST® 4+ module is integrated as a module in the CNXT®. Export or import of data is no longer
necessary, as a central database is accessed. Automatic data synchronization significantly increases data
security.
In summary, the ImpressionIST® 4+ offers the following new features:
− LED distance marking for better positioning of the customer in front of the ImpressionIST4+
− new design/color concept adapted to the Rodenstock corporate design
− Optimization of image quality through improved cameras and flash LEDs
− Simplified evaluation through software assistance systems (plausibility check of measurement results,
optimized frame shape preselection)
− Improved performance through powerful computer
