Pad Sensitivity Adjustment (PAD SENS)
Here you can adjust the pad sensitivity.
Play a pad to specify the pad that you want to edit. You can also select a pad by using the cursor [
] [ ] buttons.
Parameter Value Explanation
PAD SENS 1–16 (1–32) *1
You can adjust the sensitivity of the pads to accommodate your personal playing style.
This allows you to have more dynamic control over the sound volume, based on how hard you
play.
Higher sensitivity allows the pad to produce a loud volume even when played softly. Lower
sensitivity will keep the pad producing a low volume even when played forcefully.
THRESHOLD 0–15 (0–31) *1
This setting allows a trigger signal to be received only
when the pad is above a determined dynamic level
(velocity). This can be used to prevent a pad from
sounding because of vibrations from other pads.
In the example, B will sound but A and C will not
sound.
When set to a higher value, no sound is produced
when the pad is struck lightly. Gradually raise the
THRESHOLD value while striking the pad.
Check this and adjust accordingly. Repeat this process
until you get the perfect setting for your playing style.
THRESHOLD
VELO CURVE
Adjust this curve until the response feels as natural as possible.
LINEAR
The standard setting. This produces the
most natural correspondence between
playing dynamics and volume change.

EXP1, EXP2
Compared to LINEAR, strong dynamics
produce a greater change.

SPLINE
Extreme changes are made in response

SPLINE
LOUD1, LOUD2
Very little dynamic response, making
it easy to maintain strong volume
levels. If youre using a drum trigger
as an external pad, these settings will
produce reliable triggering.
