If the print-head carriage stops over the platen, take acon immediately to prevent the heads from drying out.
What to Do First
Switch the sub power o and then back on again. If the media is jammed, also remove the media.
If the print heads move to the home posion (inside the right cover), it means the operaon has ended successful-
ly.
If the Heads
Sll Do Not Move
Try switching o the main power, then switching on the main power again, followed by the sub power.
If the Heads Sll Do Not Move
If the heads sll do not move, carry out the following emergency response measure, and then contact your au-
thorized Roland DG Corporaon dealer.
Procedure
1. Switch o the main power, and then open the front cover.
2. Open the right cover.
3. Gently move the print-head carriage to the home posion by hand.
Stopping at the place where the audible click is heard locks the print-head carriage in place.
4. Gently apply pressure from the right side to make sure the print-head carriage does not move to the le.
If the print-head carriage moves to the le, again move it slowly by applying pressure from the le side and
make sure it locks in place.
