If the print-head carriage stops over the platen, take acon immediately to prevent the heads from drying out.
What to Do First
Switch the sub power o and then back on again. If the media is jammed, also remove the media.
If the print heads move to the home posion (inside the right cover), it means the operaon has ended successful-
ly.
If the Heads
Sll Do Not Move
Try switching o the main power, then switching on the main power again, followed by the sub power.
If the Heads Sll Do Not Move
If the heads sll do not move, carry out the following emergency response measure, and then contact your au-
thorized Roland DG Corporaon dealer.
Procedure
1. Switch o the main power, and then open the front cover.
2. Open the right cover.
3. Gently move the print-head carriage to the home posion by hand.
Stopping at the place where the audible click is heard locks the print-head carriage in place.
4. Gently apply pressure from the right side to make sure the print-head carriage does not move to the le.
If the print-head carriage moves to the le, again move it slowly by applying pressure from the le side and
make sure it locks in place.
