Connecting a OVO Player/Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box) via HOMI
This connection can only be made if there is an HOMI Output jack on the external device. This connection will
provide the highest quality picture.
1 Connect an HOMI Cable

What is HOMI?
• HOMI or high-definition multimedia interface, is an interface that enables the
transmission of digital audio and video signals using a single cable.
• The difference between HOMI and OVI is that the HOMI device is smaller in size and
has the HOCP (High Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection) coding feature installed.
~ Each OVO Player/Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box) has a different back
panel configuration.
~ When connecting via HOMI, you do not need to connect Audio Cables. You only
need to connect Audio cables when connecting via HOMIIDVI.
~ The Wireless Home AV Center may not output sound and pictures may be
displayed with abnormal color when OVO players/Cable Boxes/Satellite receivers
supporting HOMI versions older than 1.3 are connected. When connecting an older
HOMI cable and there is no sound, connect the HOMI cable to the HOMIIN 1jack
and the audio cables to the OVI IN (HOMI1) [R-AUOIO-L] jacks on the back of the
Wireless Home AV Center. If this happens, contact the company that provided the
OVO player/Cable Box/Satellite receiver to confirm the HOMI version, then request
an upgrade.
~ HOMI cables that are not 1.3 may cause annoying flicker or no screen display.
~ HOMI on this system supports all resolutions (480i/480p/720p/1080i/1080p)

2 Connect Audio Cables
between the OVI IN (HOMI1)
[R-AUOIO-L] jack on the
Wireless Home AV Center
and the AUDIO OUT jacks
on the OVO Player/Cable
Box/Satellite receiver (Set-
Top Box).

panel configuration.
~ When connecting a OVO Player/Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box), match
the color of the connection terminal to the cable.
~ When using an HOMI/OVI cable connection, you must use the HOMIIN1 terminal.
