Your new machine is equipped with a number of special features that improve the quality of the documents you print.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Print with excellent quality and speed
• You can print with a resolution of up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi
effective output.
• ML-551x Series prints A4-sized paper at up to 52 ppm, and
letter-sized paper at up to 55 ppm.
• ML-651
x Series prints A4-sized paper at up to 62 ppm, and
letter-sized paper at up to 65 ppm.
Handle many different types of printable material
• The multi-purpose tray supports special types of print media
in various sizes.
• Th
e tray 1 and optional trays support plain paper in various
sizes (See "Print media specifications" on page 108).
Create professional documents (Windows only)
• Print Watermarks. You can customize your documents with
words, such as “Confidential” (See "Using watermarks" on
page 53).
• Print Po
sters. The text and pictures of each page of your
document are magnified and printed across the sheet of
paper and can then be taped together to form a poster (See
"Printing posters" on page 51).
• You
can use preprinted forms with plain paper (See"Using
overlay (PCL driver only)" on page 53).
Save time and money
• To save paper, you can print multiple pages on one single
sheet of paper (See "Printing multiple pages on one sheet of
paper" on page 51).
• Th
is machine automatically conserves electricity by substan-
tially reducing power consumption when not in use.
• To save paper, you can print on both sides of the paper (dou-
ble-sided printing). For some models, you need to install an
optio
nal duplex unit to use the duplex feature (See "Printing
