Documents are
skewed
during scanning
Make sure that:
• the paper guide is adjusted for the width of the documents
you are scanning.
• the leading edge and timing track edges have been tapped
on a hard surface (jogged).
• the scanner covers are firmly closed.
• the scanner has been cleaned as outlined in Chapter 7,
“Chapter 7: Cleaning the Scanner”.
• your forms are printed by Scantron.
Data is not captured
as expected (if you are
using the scanner with
a PC)
Make sure that:
• respondents have properly filled out the form.
• the timing track edge of the sheets is positioned against the
guide rail (edge of input tray closest to the front of the scan-
ner).
• you are scanning the correct side of the sheet.
• you are scanning the correct form.
• there are no stray marks on the sheet.
• nothing is obstructing the read head glass.
• the read head is fully seated.
