What to do if my SHOWTEC Controller responds erratically to DMX control?

  If your SHOWTEC Controller responds erratically to DMX control, there might be a bad data link connection. Examine the connections and cables, correct poor connections, and repair or replace damaged cables. Also, the data link may not be terminated with a 120 ? termination plug; insert a termination plug in the DMX OUT connector of the last device on the link. Incorrect addressing can also cause this issue, so check the address settings and correct them if necessary. In a setup with multiple devices, one of them might be defective and disturbing data transmission on the link. To find out which device is defective, bypass one device at a time until normal operation is restored.

  If your SHOWTEC Controller does not respond to DMX control, first, ensure that the controller is properly connected. If it is, and the issue persists, the signal might be reversed; in that case, install a phase-reversing cable between the controller and the device. Finally, the controller itself might be defective, so try using another controller to rule out this possibility.

  Your SHOWTEC Controller may not function at all because it is not receiving power. Check if the power is switched on and the cables are securely plugged in. Alternatively, the main fuse may be blown. If this is the case, replace the fuse.

  If the lights or LEDs cut out intermittently on your SHOWTEC Controller, it could be due to damaged LEDs. Disconnect the Pixelstrips, Pixeltubes, or PixelDots and contact your Highlite International dealer. Another possible cause is that the power supply settings do not match the local AC voltage and frequency. Disconnect the device, check the settings, and correct them if necessary.
