• Loosen the adjustment screw so that the arm is no longer balanced. However, the spring
mechanism remains in position (Fig. 29). Do not allow the spring mechanism to fall out.
• Remove the screw and washer from the upper counter bearing (Fig. 30).
• Remove the friction linings.
