5.4.13 Uninstalling PCS 7
If you no longer require PCS 7 on the PC station, you can remove the PCS 7 software by
performing the steps described below.
Recommendation
● Remove the license keys.
● Backup the data which is still required, for example, the default folder with the PCS 7
projects.
Procedure
1. Insert the DVD and start Setup.
2. Select the "Remove" Setup option.
3. Select the components that are no longer are required on the PC station.
Follow the instructions to remove the PCS 7 software.

5.5.1 Drivers for communications processors
5.5.1.1 Drivers for communications processors
Introduction
The PCS 7 setup automatically installs the required drivers for the communications modules
on computers approved for PCS 7. This is only possible when the communications modules
have been be inserted in the PC prior to installation of PCS 7.
If the type of communications module changes after a PCS 7 installation, you will have to
reinstall the driver for the communications module ("SIMATIC NET PC Software" program
package).
