7.2 Influencing factors
The power distribution equipment design and the installation and ambient conditions
can have a significant effect on the circuit breaker.
The following installation situations take into account the most important factors
affecting the circuit breaker:
• Type of power distribution equipment
• Degree of protection of the power distribution equipment
• Shape of internal separation according to IEC 61439
• Location of busbars in the power distribution equipment (e.g. at the rear, top or
bottom)
• Number of devices that are installed and connected in the same control panel at the
same time
• Connection type (e.g. horizontal or vertical)
• Ambient temperature
• Type of mounting of circuit breaker (fixed-mounted or withdrawable)
