Upload service data from CPUs
Get service data from selected CPUs
When a CPU enters a defective state, information is logged in the CPU that you can upload.
You can send the service data files to Siemens customer support and help determine the
cause of a fault. A folder is created under the assigned Fault folder (Default path is
C:\ProgramData\Siemens\SIMATIC Automation Tool\Fault).
Use the following steps to upload service data from selected CPUs.
1.
Click the left
-side check box on devices to include in the operation. You can use
the top check box, right
-click shortcut menu, or the Edit menu for "Select All" and
"Unselect All" commands.
2.
Select "Upload Service data" from the Network menu or click the "Upload service
data" toolbar button.
3.
Click the "Continue" button on the "Upload Service Data" dialog box.
4.
Selected CPUs upload service data to the file path assigned with the
Tools>options menu.
5.
The Event log below the device table shows the results of this operation.
