8.7 Resetting the C230-2 to the default setting as delivered
Overview
You can reset the C230-2 to the as delivered state (default setting) via operations
on the mode selector.
The following data is deleted:
S Configuration data
S Programs
S Parameterizations
S Technology packages
S Retain variables
Retain variables are variables that are defined as “Non-volatile variables” in the
user program using the key word “Retain”.
S Diagnostics buffer
S Clock
The following data is retained:
S SIMOTION Kernel
The following data is reset:
S Baud rate = 1.5 Mbit/s
S PROFIBUS address for the interfaces X8 = 2 and X9 = 2
S IP address = 169.254.11.22, subnet dialog box = 255.255.0.0 and
router address = 169.254.11.22
Operations on the mode selector
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the power supply for the C230-2.
2. Remove the Micro Memory Card from the C230-2.
3. Turn the key on the mode selector to the MRES position. Hold the key in this
position and switch on the power supply for the C230-2. When the “STOPU”
LED flickers, turn the key to the STOP position again.
