6.1 Project design of the electrical configuration
General rules for operating a C230-2
The following are the most important rules that you must observe when integrating
a C230-2 in an automation system or plant.
Plant start-up after certain interrupts
The following table shows the points you have to take into account upon start-up of
a plant following certain inerrupts.
If... then...
Start-up after voltage drop or failure No dangerous operating states may occur.
If necessary, force an EMERGENCY OFF.
Start-up after unlocking of the EMER-
GENCY STOP device
There must not be an uncontrolled or unde-
fined start-up
Line voltage
The following table shows the points you have to take into account with respect to
line voltage.

must be provided in the electrical installation

pond to the local mains voltage
