3.1 Mounting and Connections
General

lation, and application of the device according to the warnings in this instruction
manual.
Of particular importance are the general installation and safety regulations for work in
a high-voltage environment (for example, VDE, IEC, EN, DIN, or other national and
international regulations). These regulations must be observed.
3.1.1 Configuration Information

General Diagrams are shown in Appendix A.2. Connection examples for current trans-
former and voltage transformer circuits are provided in Appendix A.3. It must be
checked that the setting of the 36\VWHP'DWD, Section 2.1.3.1, was made in ac-
cordance to the device connections.
Currents In Appendix A.3 examples for the possibilities of the current transformer connections
in dependence on network conditions are displayed.
For normal connection, address  ,WUDQVIRUPHU = ,QSURWOLQH must be
set and furthermore, address  ,,SK&7 = .
When using separate earth current transformers, address  ,WUDQVIRUPHU =
,QSURWOLQH must be set. The factor  ,,SK&7 may deviate from . For
calculation hints, please refer to Section 2.1.3.1 at “Current Transformer Connection”.
Please observe that 2-CT-connection is permitted only for isolated or compensated
networks.
Furthermore, examples for the connection of the earth current of a parallel line (for par-
