5. Remove the hardware securing the heat shield (E) to
the muffler, and remove the heat shield. Remove the
hardware securing the muffler (F) to the engine, and
remove the muffler.
6. Disconnect the wires connected to the right ignition
coil (G).
7. Remove the hardware (H) securing the upper shield
(I) to the right (J) and left side shields, and remove
the upper shield.
8. Remove the clamp securing the intake hose (A,
Figure 21) to the air cleaner, and remove the intake
hose.
9. Disconnect the positive battery cable (B) and the
solenoid control wire from the starter solenoid.
10. Disconnect the engine electrical harness at the main
harness connector (C), the PTO clutch connector (D),
the wires connected to the left ignition coil (E), and
both harness connectors (F).
11. Disconnect the choke and throttle cables (A, Figure 22)
from the engine.
