Extension Cylinder and Cable Assembly
Removal
Preparation:
• Park the machine on a at, level surface.
Position the boom so it is horizontal.
• Extend/retract the boom to align the anges
with the holes in the side of the main boom.
The lower anges connect the cable support
to the y boom. The upper anges connect the
cylinder base to the mid boom.

• Make sure the e-stops are pushed in and the
key is off.
• Turn main power disconnect switch off. Lock out
the switch.
Procedure:
1. The cables (wire ropes) inside of the boom
assembly must be loosened. Loosen the cables
on the platform end of the machine rst. Remove
the jam nut, then use the at on the end of cable
adjuster to hold it while backing off the main nut.
Leave the main nut on the cable adjuster about
one full nut thread.

2. Remove the center cowling from the turret.
