5.9-6 Pin Brake Adjustments
1. To manually release the brake give a light blow
to the external ring of the check unit.
2. To adjust the idle elimination loosen jam nut
and back out adjustment stem a few turns.
3. Apply a 2lb. force (1Kg) in the direction of
brake application and turn adjusting stem so
that it touches the stop.
4. Tighten the Jam nut. Repeat this procedure
for the other side.
5. On the Cylinder side ensure that there is some
clearance between the cylinder and the lever
“A" with the lever against the stop.
6. Introduce pressure into the cylinder and
ensure that the check unit engages.
