What to do if the SMC Corporation Controller actuator does not move at all?
- AAngel RoseAug 5, 2025
If the SMC Corporation Controller's actuator isn't moving, it could be due to a power fault. Ensure the power supply, voltage, or current is appropriate. It may also be due to a wiring fault. In that case, correct the wiring to ensure the input/output of each signal is correctly performed and that the power supply for the CN1 controller power supply is separate from the CN5 I/O signal power supply. An alarm condition or lock release error can also cause this problem. Address any alarms and if you don't hear the lock release, the lock brake may be broken. If the issue persists, contact SMC. Finally, the specifications may be inappropriate, so check the actuator part number and replace it with a compatible one.
