l connectRS485wirestotheterminalblocksforRS485connection.Therearetwo3-pinterminal
blocks,oneforconnectingtheprecedingdeviceinthebusandoneforconnectingthefollowing
device.Additionally,theRS485porthasabuilt-insurgeprotection.

Removing the Connection Unit Cover
IftheConnectionUnitisnotalreadyremoved,removeitasdescribedinthefollowingsection.
To remove the Connection Unit cover:
1. TurnOFFtheinverterON/OFFswitch,andwaituntilthegreenLEDisblinking,indicatingthattheDC
voltageissafe(<50V),orwaitfiveminutesbeforecontinuingtothenextstep.
2. DisconnecttheACtotheinverterbyturningOFFthecircuitbreakersonthedistributionpanel.
3.
OpentheConnectionUnitcover:
a.ReleasethesixAllenscrewsofthecover.
b.Tiltthetopofthecovertowardsyou.
c.Slidethecoverdownandremoveit.
CAUTION!
When removing the cover, make sure not to damage internal components. SolarEdge will not be
held responsible for any components damaged as a result of incautious cover removal.
