Backup recommendations
To avoid potential risk of data loss caused by accidental operation or
malfunction of the IC recorder, we recommend that you save a backup copy of
your recorded files to a computer, etc.
On using a microSD card
When formatting (initializing) a microSD card, make sure to use the IC
recorder to format it. Operations of the microSD cards formatted with
Windows or other devices are not guaranteed.
I
f you format a microSD card containing recorded data, the recorded data
will be deleted. Be careful not to delete important data.

ot leave a microSD card within the reach of small children. They might
accidentally swallow it.
D
o n
ot insert or remove a microSD card during recording/playback/
formatting. Doing so may cause a malfunction of the IC recorder.

o n
ot remove a microSD card while the operation indicator is flashing in
orange. Doing so may damage the data.

e do n
ot guarantee the operations of all types of compatible microSD cards
with the IC recorder.

u cannot use a ROM (read‑only‑memory) type or write‑protected
microSD card.

ta may be corrupted in the following cases:

en a microSD card is removed or the IC recorder is turned off during a
read or write operation.

en a microSD card is used in locations subject to static electricity or
electrical noise.

e a
ssume no responsibility for any loss or damage of recorded data.

ecommend that you save a backup copy of the important data.

ot touch the terminal of a microSD card with your hand or a metal
object.

ot strike, bend or drop a microSD card.

ot disassemble or modify a microSD card.

ot expose a microSD card to water.

ot use a microSD card under the following conditions:

cations beyond the required operating conditions, including locations,
such as the hot interior of a car parked in the sun and/or in the summer,
the outdoors exposed to direct sunlight, or a place near a heater.

cations or locations with corrosive substances present.
Wh
en using a microSD card, make sure to check the correct insertion
direction into the microSD card slot.
