There are two stages of testing the two-wire for shorts: you can run a built-in short test from the Ranger Converter
3000, and if something seems wrong, you can inspect the two-wire in the field, using a clampmeter.
7.3.
Increasing Station Power
In case the stations are not giving out enough power for the valves or pumps to pull open, it is possible to
increase the power.
Note
Do not simply increase station power because the valves are not opening. First verify the integrity
of the 2-wire. If the current is too high, then you must fix that problem.
Important
Increasing the station power means that fewer stations can run simultaneously (less than 10).
When changing the power setting you can see how may stations can be run at the same time.
For example, when changing the power setting for regular valves to "Highest Power" you can
run a maximum of five simultaneous valves.
