► Put on the shoulder strap (1).
► Adjust the shoulder strap (1) so that the carabiner (2) is
about a hand’s width below your right hip.

11.4 Holding and Controlling the Long-Reach Hedge
Trimmer
► Connect the carrying ring (2) to the carabiner (1).
HLA 66
► Hold the long-reach hedge trimmer with one hand on the
control handle - wrap your thumb around the handle.
► Hold the long-reach hedge trimmer with the other hand on
the loop handle - wrap your thumb around the loop handle.
HLA 86
► Hold the long-reach hedge trimmer with one hand on the
control handle - wrap your thumb around the handle.
► Hold the long-reach hedge trimmer firmly with your other
hand on the handle hose - wrap your thumb around the
handle hose.
