ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 6-19
Step 2
1) Measure the battery voltage between input lead wires (O/W and B/W) at the CDI unit with the ignition
switch in the “ON” position.
Is the voltage OK?
Step 3
1) Measure the ignition coil primary peak voltage. (
6-20)
NOTE:
This inspection method is applicable only with the multi-circuit tester and the peak volt adaptor.
Is the peak voltage OK?
Step 4
1) Inspect the spark plug. (
2-8)
Is the spark plug OK?
Step 5
1) Inspect the parking brake switch. (
6-23)
Is the parking brake switch OK?
Step 6
1) Inspect the ignition coil. (
6-21)
Is the ignition coil OK?
Step 7
1) Measure the CKP sensor peak voltage and resistance. (
6-21)
NOTE:
The CKP sensor peak voltage inspection is applicable only with the multi-circuit tester and peak volt adaptor.
