2-20 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
• Clean the drive chain with kerosene. If the drive chain tends
to rust quickly, the intervals must be shortened.
• After cleaning and drying the chain, oil it with a heavy-weight
engine oil.

FRONT BRAKE LEVER PLAY
• Adjust the right and left cable end length

• Turn the adjusters

specification after loosening the locknut.
Front brake lever play B: 4 – 6 mm (0.16 – 0.24 in)
NOTE:
The difference between W1 and W2 should be 1 mm or less.
REAR BRAKE LEVER PLAY
• Loosen the adjuster

and

• Turn the adjuster

so that the lever play

is within specifi-
cation after loosening the locknut.
Rear brake lever play C: 3 – 5 mm (0.12 – 0.20 in)
Inspect initially at 1 month and every 3 months there-
after.
